Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Rift platform ("Service"), operated by DEK KEY OÜ (Registry Code 17506258) ("Company", "we", "us"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to use Rift. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

We do not accept new sign-ups from Russia, Belarus, Iran, North Korea, Syria or Cuba (checked by IP country and by email address), and we do not accept cards with a billing address in those countries. Existing account holders keep access to their account and balance.

You may open and use an account for yourself or for a company or other organisation. When you use it for an organisation, that organisation is the customer under these terms and is responsible for the account and everything bought through it, and you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms on its behalf. Rights that the law gives only to consumers, such as the statutory right to withdraw from an online purchase, apply to an individual buying for personal use and not to an organisation buying for its business. Everything our policies promise, including the refund of unspent top-ups, applies to every customer alike.

Rift uses Steam OpenID for authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Steam account. We do not store your Steam credentials. Your Rift account is linked to your Steam ID and cannot be transferred.

Items in the catalogue are listed by third-party sellers on TM Market (market.csgo.com for CS2, market.dota2.net for Dota 2) and on DMarket. When you check out, we buy the item on that market for you and pass it your Steam trade URL; the seller then sends the item directly to your Steam account. We never hold the item. You pay in the currency you choose: a card top-up is charged in the currency you select, and your wallet balance is kept in USD. Prices are checked on our server at checkout and debited from your wallet in USD; they can be displayed in another currency, converted at the rate shown. Delivery depends on the seller and can take up to 7 days. If the purchase cannot be placed, or the seller never completes the trade, the price of that item is automatically returned to your Rift wallet. Items listed by other Rift users are delivered from our custody account instead and follow the same refund rule.

Your Rift wallet has one wallet balance in USD that you spend on items. Part of it may be shown as withdrawable: that part is money from items you sold through the platform (see "Selling your items & seller payouts") and is the only money you can pay out to yourself, subject to identity verification (KYC). Money added by card top-up can be spent on items but cannot be withdrawn as cash, except that the unspent part of a top-up is refundable to your card within 14 days of the top-up (see the Refund Policy); purchases use top-up money first. Card top-ups are processed by our PCI-DSS-compliant payment provider (Visa/Mastercard). Refunds for failed purchases are credited back to your wallet balance as spendable money.

Registered users may list their own in-game items for sale through the platform, which acts solely as an intermediary between seller and buyer. When your listed item sells, you receive the sale price less a platform commission of 10%, credited to your wallet balance and shown as withdrawable. To withdraw funds you must complete identity verification (KYC): your full legal name, a valid government-issued identity document (e.g. passport), your residential address, and your payout details (bank card or bank account). Withdrawal requests are reviewed and must be approved before any payout is released. We may request additional documents and may refuse, suspend or reverse a payout where verification is incomplete or where we reasonably suspect fraud, money laundering, or a breach of these Terms. Payouts are made only to the verified account holder. See our AML & KYC Policy.

You may not: use the Service for money laundering or fraud; attempt to manipulate prices; create multiple accounts; use automated bots to interact with the Service; or engage in any activity that violates applicable law.

This content is provided for general information only, is not financial or investment advice, and may be inaccurate or outdated — it does not override the live listing price. We do not guarantee its accuracy, and you should not rely on it as the sole basis for a purchase or sale decision.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rift's liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Rift in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.

These terms are governed by the laws of Estonia. Disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Estonia, subject to any mandatory consumer protection laws of your jurisdiction.
